Covering Artex on Vaulted Ceilings and Reveals

The vaulted ceilings in these attic rooms had been coated with Artex which resulted in them looking very dated and obtrusive. Removing Artex is a challenging and time consuming job and the most cost effective solution is to have a plaster skim coat to give perfectly smooth finish. The artex pattern was luckily not too thick so were were able to plaster straight on top of the artex without the need for plaster boarding over first. These type of rooms are becoming ever more popular and working with the angles and reveals is a challenging and interesting job.
