MA. Plastering offer a range of plastering and wall finishing services at competitive prices to suit your plastering needs. We always aim to minimise disruption whilst these works are carried out by consulting you fully prior to commencing, using protective sheeting during and cleaning up thoroughly upon completion. From our base in Gateacre, we offer plastering and interior wall finishing service in the Liverpool area. Please note that we are not currently taking on any more bookings for the foreseeable future. plaster Skimming

If you have walls with uneven, dented surfaces such as hollows left by removing of wallpaper or picture/ dado rails or walls which have seen their share of knocks in the years then a fresh coat of plaster may be all that is needed to give them a new lease of life. This can be applied to existing solid surfaces or newly installed plasterboard. You will be left with a smooth eggshell feel surface, perfect for painting & decorating.

Artex covering

Skimming over Artex is a very popular solution for covering the patterned finish used widely in the 1970s and 1980s. We will remove any high spots, seal the surface then apply the finish plaster to the surface for a modern, smooth look. Please note – depending on the texture of artex, ceilings may be required to have new plasterboard secured on top of the artex prior to the finish plaster. You will be kept informed if required.

ceiling repairs & replacement

If you have suffered damage to a ceiling as result of a pipe leak, overflowing bath or by a stray foot in the attic the we can patch repair this for you. If the damage is severe then it may be the case that the entire surface is replaced. We will remove and safely bag the existing plasterboard ready for disposal, check the woodwork for nails and that it is level. Finally, we will install fresh plasterboard and apply the finish plaster.

Stud partition Wall Installation

Stud partition walls can be constructed for you to divide up large areas or create feature arches/ entrances. The walls are strong, yet with their hollow nature, electrics or pipes can be run inside for your convenience. The wall will then be plaster boarded and skimmed ready for decoration.

plasterboarding/ Dot & Dab

An easy and simple solution for covering existing or newly installed solid walls with plasterboard, ready for the finish plaster and decoration

Repairs and Patching

If you have a section of wall or ceiling that has suffered damage or blown, often a repair can be carried out without the need for plastering the whole area. During the site survey we will be able to conclude whether this is possible.

Coving

If you want to give your room a finishing touch then we can put up coving ready to be painted when the adhesive has set.

Float & Set

For bare brickwork or block walls that have been erected we will coat them with a gypsum backing plaster or sand & cement render and finish with a lovely coat of finish plaster to give you a perfect surface for decoration.
